Our Consulting Philosophy
Why? Over the years, we've seen too many students who, lacking proper educational guidance, end up taking a difficult and winding road. They work hard, but may not necessarily reach their intended destination. While parents may be able to earn back the money spent on misguided efforts, a teen’s time is irreplaceable. Therefore, we hope to use our talents and experience to provide professional guidance to students and parents, ensuring that the effort and time invested can yield the greatest results.
Who? Led by experienced founders, A. LEAGUE nurtures a team of senior and junior consultants with different areas of expertise. Together, they lead an educational team that provides customized guidance for 9th to 12th-grade students from various cities around the globe.
How? In schools, an "A" grade is fixed, but for us, every student is a unique individual. Our goal is not to push every student to the very top, but rather to help them reach their potential within the limited time available, achieving the goals that are best suited to them. We invest ample resources into each student and work to harmonize the parent-child relationship. Through long-term guidance, we build mentorship and friendship. Even after students go abroad, they continue to stay in contact with us. Every year, we witness our students gradually build their dreams around the world. Their growth and successes have become our greatest motivation.
I'AM
Inspirational Application Modular, abbreviated I'AM — I am, therefore I exist.
I'AM is our unique, heuristic application module. We nurture a journey that gives students opportunities to grow into their authentic selves and enhance their self-development.
The most important step in working with students is not to focus on grades, exams, or writing personal statements but to find their "instruction manual." We play the role of both mentor and friend, gaining a deep understanding of each teen's unique traits. We guide students to reflect on their growth journey, uncover their purpose, spark their creativity and inspiration, and build a unique personal profile with meaning.
We connect with students at their level so they feel they belong to a community. We don’t recommend schools that are unsuitable for them for our own benefit (such as collecting agency fees or simplifying the application process). Nor do we make biased judgments based on their interests, ambitions, grades, or behaviors. We create a path that fosters empathy and resilience, an environment where students can relate to role models, think deeply, learn, and achieve.
Our ultimate goal is to help students open the doors to success, empowering them to find their own domain in the vast universe and soar confidently in the boundless world.
Aptitude Assessment
Finding the Right Fit: To make the most of our time and resources—and to support more students who are truly committed to their dreams—all prospective A. LEAGUE families begin with a one-time aptitude assessment. This takes place during the initial consultation, where we speak with both the student and parents to better understand three key areas:
1. Motivation and Goals
We explore whether the student demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to grow. Are they beginning to form goals for the future? Do they have interests they’re excited about, or are they open to discovering them? What matters most is a student’s drive to learn and explore, and their openness to challenge themselves along the way.
2. Character and Potential
At A. LEAGUE, we value thoughtful, proactive students. We observe how the student approaches conversation—do they think independently, listen with intention, and engage with respect? Do they show a sense of responsibility and a willingness to receive feedback? We also consider past efforts—club activities, competitions, creative projects, or community involvement—as signs of initiative and time management. These qualities are key to thriving in a changing world.
3. Values and Cultural Fit
We believe potential and effort matter more than grades. At the heart of A. LEAGUE is respect—for yourself, for others, and for the journey ahead. We look for students and families who align with our values and are ready to walk this meaningful, long-term path with us.
It’s important to note: This assessment does not take academic performance into account. We’ve always believed that a student’s character and inner potential—not test scores—are what truly shape their future.
Our goal is simple, to make sure every student who joins A. LEAGUE is in the right place, with the right mindset, to make their efforts truly matter.
